Every year, the Lord gives me a Word for the next 12 months. Last year, He placed on my heart the Word "Establishment." Many things were established in my life and in our church in 2023. He was preparing us for the Word for 2024, which is "Breakthrough."
How does God want to "Breakthrough" in our lives during this coming year? What are the areas He needs to renew and refresh? How does He want to work in relationships, farms, jobs, schools, marriages, church life? Are we ready to have Him "Breakthrough" in some new and exciting ways?
His words of encouragement are found in Isaiah 43:18-19: "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
The Lord reminds us that we need to leave the past in the past. He knows the trials and troubles of 2023 and the years before. But He is doing something NEW! He wants us to believe it, perceive it and receive it! He is putting roads where there has only been wilderness before! He is filling the dry ravines with "Living Water" where previously there had only been parched creek-beds! Open your eyes and see what God is doing! Let Him remove the barriers in your heart that block His Blessings! He wants to do something amazing in your life in 2024! Prepare for a BREAKTHROUGH!
